If You Want To Change The world, Love A Man

This poem which is credited to a Lauren Wilceuy seems to be popular with the

tantra crowd as I’ve seen it posted by more than a few tantrikas and women that are into the science of tantra/ tantric yoga.

I like the message, maybe you will find some inspiration in it too

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD, LOVE A MAN

If you want to change the world love a man; really love him
Choose the one whose soul calls to yours clearly who sees you;
who is brave enough to be afraid

Accept his hand and guide him gently to your hearts blood

Where he can feel your warmth upon him and rest there
And burn his heavy load in your fires
Look into his eyes, look deep within and see what lies dormant or awake or shy or expectant there
Look into his eyes and see there his fathers and grandfathers and all the wars and madness their spirits fought in some distant land, some distant time
Look upon their pains and struggles and torments and guilt; without judgment
And let it all go
Feel into his ancestral burden
And know that what he seeks is safe refuge in you
Let him melt in your steady gaze
And know that you need not mirror that rage
Because you have a womb, a sweet, deep gateway to wash and renew old wounds
If you want to change the world love a man, really love him
Sit before him, in the full majesty of your woman in the breath of your vulnerability
In the play of your child innocence in the depths of your death
Flowering invitation, softly yielding, allowing his power as a man
To step forward towards you…and swim in the Earth’s womb, in silent knowing, together
And when he retreats…because he will…flees in fear to his cave…
Gather your grandmothers around you…envelope in their wisdoms
Hear their gentle ‘shusshhhed’ whispers, calm your frightened girls’ heart
Urging you to be still…and wait patiently for his return
Sit and sing by his door, a song of remembrance, that he may be soothed, once more
If you want to change the world, love a man, really love him
Do not coax out his little boy
With guiles and wiles and seduction and trickery
Only to lure him…to a web of destruction
To a place of chaos and hatred
More terrible than any war fought by his brothers
This is not feminine, this is revenge
This is the poison of the twisted lines
Of the abuse of the ages, the rape of our world
And this gives no power to woman, it reduces her as she cuts off his balls
And it kills us all
And whether his mother held him or could not
Show him the true mother now
Hold him and guide him in your grace and your depth
Smoldering in the center of the Earth’s core
Do not punish him for his wounds that you think don’t meet your needs or criteria
Cry for him sweet rivers
Bleed it all back home
If you want to change the world love a man, really love him
Love him enough to be naked and free
Love him enough to open your body and soul to the cycle of birth and of death
And thank him for the opportunity
As you dance together through the raging winds and silent woods
Be brave enough to be fragile and let him drink in the soft, heady petals of your being
Let him know he can hold you, stand up and protect you
Fall back into his arms and trust him to catch you
Even if you’ve been dropped a thousand times before
Teach him how to surrender by surrendering yourself
And merge into the sweet nothing, of this worlds’ heart
If you want to change the world, love a man, really love him
Encourage him, feed him, allow him, hear him, hold him, heal him
And you, in turn, will be nourished and supported and protected
By strong arms and clear thoughts and focused arrows
Because he can, if you let him, be all that you dream
If you want to love a man,
love yourself, love your father, love your brother, your son, your ex-partner;
from the first boy you kissed, to the last one you wept over
Give thanks for the gifts; of your unraveling to this meeting
Of the one who stands before you now
And find in him the seed to all that’s new and solar
A seed that you can feed to help direct the planting
To grow a new world, together.

DIY Christmas Stocking Stuffers | Money Ball (yarn ball)

DIY Christmas Stocking Stuffer Idea MONEY BALL Yarn ball

Growing up, Christmas was always a fun time. If your family is like mine, us kids were allowed to go through our stocking in the morning but we had to wait for the grown-ups to get up before we could open presents. Stockings were fair game designed to hold us for another hour or two. In actuality, it was good for maybe 30 minutes or so.

Credit goes to my dad for coming up with this idea for us kids way back.

This is great for any budget.

Choose from an assortment of change and bills. Penies, nickels, dimes, quarters…

It’s a great way to help fill up those ever bigger stockings people seem to have nowadays.

Good time killer as it takes a little time to unravel the yarn ball and collect all of the money.

To start, you need to unravel the ball of yarn.

Here you have a few options. Originally, my dad would take two quarters and squeeze the end of the yarn between them and wind it up until it forms a small ball. Optionally, you can take a folded up bill and wrap that until you get a small yarn ball started.

As you wind the ball add coins and folded bills as you go until all of the money has been hidden.  If you’ve never done this for your kids, definitely make sure that there is enough yarn left after the last coin or bill so that it is all covered completely by the yarn so they don’t know there’s money rolled up in there.

I remember the first time my dad did this for us kids and we were like, “what the hell did they give us a ball of yarn for?”

At the end of the string, be sure to cinch it under itself so that it doesn’t start to unravel and then place it in the stocking.

Tip* Be sure to count out equal amounts of money for each kid so they don’t have a cow – unless you are in to playing favorites and like drama and yelling and screaming… Trust me, we kids definitely compared to see if we got the same amount of money.

For older kids or grown-ups, you could mix it up and put a ring (or maybe even engagement ring>?) in the center as a nice unexpected gift – especially if this isn’t their first money ball since they won’t be expecting that.

I also have a variation idea on the money ball for your four legged furry kids – specifically cats. You could do this ANY time of the year, but since it’s Christmas time…

Air Raid Siren Sounds

Lately in the news thanks to north korea’s fat boy kim’s (aka rocket boy) unrelenting pursuit to get his own nukes to play with, we are hearing of the long unused air raid siren come back. Latest news is the state of Hawaii has re-introduced the siren warning system since they think they are a possible target of little fat boy kimmie.

Here is a playlist of seven videos created of seven different air raid sirens from around the world. How many of you are old enough to remember listening to these obnoxious sirens? Maybe more likely just hearing them on a movie or tv show.

Want to be a dirty rotten prankster to a friend or ‘frenemy’?  You could try blasting one of these videos to get them up early or drive by their house with it blaring from your car’s speakers.

It’s funny, I haven’t posted very much recently, and as i type i watch the word counter not even approach 300 words. I recall that 300 words was the minimum for a blog post to gain some relevance in a search or seo optimization.

I haven’t posted in a while because, #1 – there’s only so much of me to go around. #2- I haven’t been able to clone myself. Even if I could, I’m always concerned about the strong possibility that one or more of my clones would decide to pull a Multiplicity and ‘make a copy of a copy’. And if that classic movie told us anything, that making a copy of a copy isn’t really a good idea. Sure, you might get a marginally functioning adorable retard out of it, but in reality, that’s just a major pain in the butt and NOT funny to the ones relegated to being its caretaker. I would nominate the clones responsible for that. Finally, #3 – i think too much time has passed since I learned about how good and cheap phillipino virtual assistants were supposed to be… By now I am sure the market is saturated, they probably aren’t so cheap, and if they are, it’s because those are the ones that nobody wanted before – the leftover dregs.

Oh, and thanks to LavaPirate for use of the ‘oh shit’ art piece for the visual in the videos.

Grand Opening of Etsy Shop Unlimited Imagination

Grand Opening of Etsy Shop Unlimited Imagination January 2017

The artist knowns as LavaPirate has opened an etsy shop this month to sell art work which can be seen at LavaPirate.com

Currently  a few  pieces available as prints available including LP’s first piece Debbie Harry/Blondie and a 16×16 print of a 5×5 2015 submission for the tampa bay five by five art show.

As more pieces are completed LP may consider selling some of the originals as well but I am not sure if etsy is the best marketplace for high end original art – what I mean by that is most pieces will be priced in the 1000s on the low end. They take a lot of planning and time to assemble. As an example it is estimated that the Blondie piece took a minimum of 50 hours. Hours were not tracked consistently so that is only a rough guess

You will also find custom designed american flag vinyl bumper stickers for $3.50 for two stickers plus shipping ($.50) they are approximately 5″x2.66″ in size.

The words American flag in blue text are not on the actual stickers.
